Kurenai can approach enemies silently and hide behind objects. An effective way to kill enemies is to use stealth. There is a fair amount of platform-like sequences where she will have to demonstrate her acrobatic ninja technique. Kurenai can jump, hang from ledges, and roll. You can also use other weapons, such as a blowgun and throwing knives. During the game you'll learn to perform new moves with this weapon.
The primary weapon Kurenai uses is the deadly tetsugen. "Red Ninja" is an action game with stealth elements. She is driven through the adventure by one desire - to find the Black Lizard Clan and destroy it, avenging her father's death. The vengeful kunoichi can make use of many other skills and devices as well, however, from acrobatics and stealth tactics to seduction and explosives. The wire weapon can be equipped with different attachments that affect its speed, length, and damage. Kurenai specializes in the use of a weapon ironically fashioned from the very wire that the Black Lizard raiders intended to be her doom. She now lives to avenge her father’s death and will go to any means necessary to destroy the Black Lizard Clan. Kurenai has pledged her undying loyalty to her new family. Miraculously, she survives and is rescued and adopted into a clan where she obtains complete mastery of her unique weapon, the wire.
